VOLUNTEERING AT HADDENHAM ARTS CENTRE C.I.C.
Come and Join our team of Volunteering Arts Lovers (VALs) at Haddenham Arts Centre (formally known as Haddenham Galleries), and help make it a brilliant buzzing arts hub for everyone in our local community.
We are a new not for profit community interest company aiming to:
Provide opportunities for our community to benefit through engagement and participation in the arts
Enable artists to develop their talents and encourage creativity
Be a venue for people to find life inspiration through art and appreciation of artistic endeavours
Whatever your background or situation, if you’re a ‘can do’ person with an interest in helping us, there are many opportunities to get involved and be part of this special community arts centre. You will find it stimulating, interesting and fun, offering chances to gain new experience, socialise and make new friends. You can sign up to the dates and times which suit you best.
As a Volunteering Arts Lover (VAL) you can help welcome and serve customers in our galleries, assist at our workshops and steward at events to ensure all our visitors have a pleasurable, stimulating and safe experience.
VALs can also help with:
Publicity - including mailing out, collating and distributing our various information posters and leaflets; updating distribution lists; spreading the word about what’s going on and actively sharing information about Haddenham Arts Centre on social media.
Building maintenance - there’s always room for some volunteer handiwork, from painting walls to carpentry and plumbing jobs.
Gardening - helping to maintain our Sculpture Garden and other outside areas of our grounds.
The Tea Room - serving food and drink, clearing tables and washing up.
Administration - we welcome support from anyone who is interested in administration, and has an eye for detail and good IT skills.
Fundraising - this is vital to our survival and we are seeking enthusiastic and experienced volunteers who can be proactive in this area.
We very much welcome our VALs’ ideas on developing brilliant new arts activities for our community.
